Is it possible to be physically unable to keep your room tidy?

My parents keep calling me lazy and are tired of my room being messy...like all surfaces and the floor being covered in things.
I don't think I'm lazy though, because I do like sport and things, but I don't like tidying my room. But it gets stupidly messy...it's not like I like living like it.
My Mum said earlier I was living like a depressive...
I've tried tidying my room for 5 minutes each night to keep on top of the mess....but I don't know...I just can't physically get myself to keep it tidy.
I like my room and how it's decorated etc, and I like how nice it looks when it's tidy, so it's not really like I don't have the motivation...=/
Now she's going to write to my counselor about this, and I don't want her to. -.-'

Well, I’ll give you his- writing to the counselor seems a bit extreme. But let’s be honest, it’s not that you are physically unable. A person who’s lost their mobility is an example of someone who is physically unable to keep their room clean.

Just spend a little more time every night, say, half an hour? Also, designate a place for everything, and make sure you put things back in the right place initially. When you change out of your clothes at night, don’t just drop them on the floor- put them in the hamper of fold them and put them away. Then you won’t have such a huge mess piling up anyway. It’s just going to take a little will power.

there’s all kinds of lazy, being willing to lay around in your own filth is pretty lazy. It’s not a physical limitation, it’s mental. Maybe one day it’ll click for you and then you’ll find a comfort zone that is more social.

if you are anything like my daughter than yes LOL. In all seriousness, if you are a teen then its totally normal not to have a tidy room. Some of us adults cant even keep a tidy room.

Why is she writing anyone about you cleaning your room, who’s the boss around your house anyway, you mom or some unknown 3rd party?
You can be physically unable to clean your room ONLY if you’re a quadriplegic, otherwise you can do it. You’ll just have to "bite the bullet" and motivate yourself.
