A gift card, an amaryllis bulb, a really rare plant for the special garden lover, a plant encyclopedia, cactus seeds, a seed propagator, a greenhouse, a fertilizer, a venus flytrap.

    haha.

A gift certificate for a local garden shop or plant farm. Or some live plants. Maybe a book about gardening? Check the book store for a book about new techniques or unusual plants

You could give a plant with a gift certificate attached if you don’t want to just give a card.

Maybe a nice pair of gardening gloves or knee pads with a gift recipt in case they already have similar ones.

A very colourful flower. There’s nothing like it as present.

Possibly, make it a live flower.

    I hope I’m reasonable here.

go with a gift certificate to a garden center or better yet a seed cataloug!
Certificates and Seeds! or certificates For seeds

Either a subscription to some magazine like Fine Gardening or a gift certificate from White Flower Farm or another fine nursery. It depends upon what the person’s interest is in gardening: some like vegetable gardening, some like flowers, some like bulbs, succulents, fruit trees, etc.
